Elevo

Product Design

An SEL Edtech Company looking to streamline its sales operations.

Elevo’s grew incredibly fast during the pandemic. And with access to further potential funding options, they came to Pyxl wanting to explore their own Digital Transformation. Based on their needs, we started with an internal sales app design.

Elevo’s clients are schools and school districts – they bring SEL to schools through phsyical activity for students. Elevo uses coaches in after-school programs to accomplish this.

The Need

Elevo’s scheduling and planning revolve around lesson and coaching plans for schools. These must coincide with each individual school’s calendar.

We needed to create a digital product used to (a) organize custom lesson and coaching plans for each school and district (b) equip the onboarding and sales team to present these custom plans to stakeholders for feedback and (c) be sure these plans (spanning entire school years) aligned with each school’s calendar.

The Process: Discovery + Design
In this scenario, the target audience is the Elevo staff. We interviewed and relied heavily on their needs, requirements, and past experience.

The Product Manager worked directly with the Elevo team to craft user stories and needs. My Product Designer would then UX and UI potential solutions. We ended up with a presentation tool (web app) and a dashboard of deals, enabling the Elevo team with oversight of their operations and sales.

My involvement
Much of my involvement in this project centered around direction, feedback, and enabling my team to have what they needed to get the project completed.

Realtime, I’d collaborate, sometimes for hours, with my Product Designer, solving complex challenges around how the app should function, look, and feel. The amount of data needed to communicate and customize, while still fitting within a structured approach, made this project challenging.

Ultimately, we netted out with a beautiful, on-brand product that the Elevo team loved and utilizes.
