How does one company get away with selling both fireplaces and gutters?

Chimneys Plus is a Pittsboro-based fireplace and rainwater solutions provider. They do $2-million+ in business, a year.

For years, they had balanced the two parts of their business by creating entirely separate websites and brands. From a branding and marketing standpoint, this limited the reach they wanted and increased costs for their workforce.

I lead their team through a typical design thinking process, polling their customers, crafting initial options, getting the Chimneys Plus team feedback, and revising until we ended up with:

“Keeping you warm and dry with beautiful fireplaces & rainwater solutions.”

Per Charlie’s words, the owner, he’d been trying to marry the two parts of his business for the last 20 years and wasn’t able to, until now.

From there, we redesigned their website, focusing on the two sides of their business, creating a clear UX for users, built out marketing campaigns, and optimized their ad campaigns.
